My wife and I have lived in High Legh since 1991. I have been Chairman of the Planning Committee on the Parish Council for many years and I always try to recommend to Borough Planners the best option for the benefit of the parish. I also carry out regular voluntary maintenance in the village like cutting the car park hedge. In 2005 I was awarded a Conservationist of the Year for creating new woodlands on the High Legh Estate, helped by Lord Grey the owner.

I have lived in High Legh 26 years, the last four years with my partner Dave. I feel very proud to live in such a lovely environment and setting. I have always worked full time in business with long hours; however I now work part time and would like to put something back into the community to help preserve and develop what we have here in High Legh. I am on the Woodlands Crescent Residents Committee as Communications Officer and liaise with local residents to canvass opinions, impart information, leaflet drops or represent the village at meetings etc. I am also interested in assisting in managing the amenities and possibly research etc. Through the Parish Plan I am on the Speeding Action Committee and the Village Appearance Committee.
